Session Objectives
Upon completion of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe evidence-based culturally competent techniques that need to be immersed into psychiatric and mental health nursing education, practice, and research settings.
2. Explicate connections of culture and recovery into the biopsychosocial care of psychiatric patients and their families and/or significant others.
3. Formulate recovery principles that are necessary in the pharmacologic management of ethnically and culturally diverse individuals who are diagnosed with a mental health disorder.
Continuing Nursing Education
1.5 contact hours. * In order to receive contact hours, you must: Listen to the entire session, complete an evaluation, and earn a passing score on the post test before the expiration date. You will have 5 tries to earn a score of 80% or better on the post test.
