Upon completion of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
1. Discuss menopause as a transitional state to include the role of estradiol in the aging brain.
2. Describe the influence of sex hormones on pharmacotherapy for depression.
3. Describe strategies and pharmacotherapeutic approaches you could use in your practice when caring for a woman experiencing menopause and depression.
